napkins cotton colorful breakfast on the go

This goodness needs sharing...  I was leaving for a trip at the same time everyone was hustling around getting ready for school.  I asked my son, Bobby, who was making his lunch, to grab a granola bar for me and put it in the car.  This is what I found on my dash.  I ran back inside for an extra hug.  I can’t take full credit for Bobby's being a clever, caring young person but I have to believe that somewhere along the way he heard my message of “gracious living everyday.”  Small things matter.  Taking the time to make another person’s day more joyful is one of the most important things we can do.  In this case, a hurried breakfast on the way to the airport became a gift from my son to be savored (the gesture, of course, not the stale granola bar).
